The Safety Superhero Academy Featured in the Yorkshire Evening Post

We’re excited to share that The Safety Superhero Academy has been featured in the Yorkshire Evening Post!

As a proudly Morley-based start-up, this local recognition means so much to us. It’s a huge milestone for the Academy and a real celebration of how far we’ve come in just a few short months.

The feature highlights our mission: to bring fun, accessible safety education into primary schools, helping children understand key safety principles and introducing them to the world of STEM in a way that’s engaging, age-appropriate, and memorable.

Founded by Bethany Holroyd, the Academy is built on the belief that safety isn’t just a set of rules – it’s a mindset and a life skill. Through storytelling, role models, hands-on activities and real-life PPE, we’re helping children build confidence, curiosity and early awareness that could shape their future choices.

Bethany shared:

“To see the Academy featured in our local paper, read by the same community we aim to serve, is incredibly special. I started this on my own, driven by passion, and it’s moments like this that remind me how important our work is.”

We’d love for you to grab a copy of the paper – or head over to our founder’s Instagram to see the moment captured!

If you’re a school, sponsor, or local business interested in bringing free safety education to your community, we’d love to hear from you.
