Workshop Session FAQs

FAQs for Schools

  • Our Safety Superhero Academy workshop is an interactive experience designed for children aged 4–10. The session uses storytelling, activities and discussion to introduce key ideas about safety in a fun and memorable way.

  • Our workshops are designed for children aged 4–10 (Key Stage One and early Key Stage Two), with activities and stories tailored to be age-appropriate, engaging, and hands-on.

  • Each workshop typically lasts around 45–60 minutes (this is dictated by what works in the school diary), including storytime, interactive activities, and a hands-on learning component.

  • Workshops are free for schools, thanks to our business sponsors. If you’d like to bring a session sooner through self-funding, you can get in touch with us directly.

  • Workshops are designed to accommodate a full class at a time (Up to 35 children). For larger groups or multiple classes, we can discuss options to ensure all students can participate safely.

  • No preparation is needed. Our facilitators bring all materials and resources for the workshop. Teachers are required to remain in the room to supervise students throughout the workshop - our facilitators lead the activities but do not take on responsibility for child supervision.

  • Workshops are delivered in your school’s classroom or assembly space, wherever there is enough room for storytime and interactive activities.

FAQs for Businesses

  • Any business or organisation interested in supporting education, safety awareness, and STEM careers in their community can get involved.

  • We offer flexible ways to engage, from supporting the programme in your area to volunteering employees as ambassadors during sessions. We’ll discuss the best fit for your business when you get in touch.

  • We only recognise the organisation that directly contracts and pays for workshop(s). Third parties can provide introductions or support, but all agreements and payments are handled through the main contracting organisation. Joint funding is only possible through a formal joint venture, and only the contracting organisation (or the formal JV) is acknowledged in communications, PR, or sponsorship materials.

  • No. The Academy isn’t positioned as a prize or competition reward. Businesses engage with us by sponsoring sessions directly with schools - this way, every child reached benefits from a purposeful and fair programme.

  • The costs depend on the level and type of involvement. We’ll work with you to find a suitable option that aligns with your goals and budget.

  • Support can enhance your CSR and social value initiatives, provide employee engagement opportunities, and demonstrate your commitment to the community and future talent. It’s a tangible way to meet CSR goals and social value targets, which are increasingly important in procurement and supply chain decisions.

  • Yes, up to two members of staff can attend as guests of the school. Please note that all employees must have enhanced DBS checks, and your staff remain the responsibility of your organisation while on site. Our facilitators lead the session, but your employees are not under our supervision.

  • There is no expectation to do anything other than be present and introduce yourself to the teachers/pupils and support the facilitation of the session.

  • You can select specific local schools in your area to receive the sponsored sessions. Alternatively, we can help identify a suitable school in your community. Our aim is to reach children who will benefit most from the programme.

  • We’ll guide you through the process and discuss timing once you contact us - your involvement can be tailored to your availability.

  • Absolutely. Any level of support makes a difference, and we can help tailor involvement to suit the size and capacity of your organisation.

  • We provide guidance on sharing your support with your networks and celebrating your company’s role in inspiring children and supporting education.
