Shaping Safer Futures starts early.
Imagine a world where children don’t just learn about safety, health and wellbeing - but become the reason it improves for generations to come. We help teachers and practitioners embed safety, health and wellbeing into everyday learning using The Safety Superhero Method.
Why This, Why Now?
Safety, health and wellbeing are not taught consistently across the UK.
While many schools cover important topics such as road safety or online safety - particularly through statutory PSHE education in England - provision varies widely in focus, depth and confidence. Too often, safety is addressed as a series of isolated risks rather than as a mindset rooted in care, responsibility and everyday awareness.
At the same time, the picture beyond education hasn’t shifted.
Despite decades of focus on compliance, enforcement and top-down campaigns, HSE statistics continue to show little meaningful change in key areas such as fatal injuries, RIDDOR-reportable incidents and long-term health outcomes across many sectors.
We believe it’s time for a different approach.
Introducing the Shaping Safer Futures Programme.
A new approach to safety education, one that starts with educators and grows through children. Focused on EYFS to KS2, the programme transforms how safety, health and wellbeing are understood and embedded into everyday practice. It gives teachers and practitioners the confidence, language and tools to make safety part of daily learning in a way that engages children, not just instructs them.
What Shaping Safer Futures® will include
A growing programme of teacher CPD and classroom resources, designed to work together:
Learning resources:
