About Us
The Safety Superhero Academy® was created to shape safer futures. Through storytelling, practical activities and structured learning resources, we embed safety thinking from the very start of a child’s learning journey - supporting educators and organisations to build a safer tomorrow.
As industries face growing skills shortages, we believe there is both an opportunity and a responsibility to introduce children to the language of safety and risk awareness in an engaging and inclusive way. By building confidence and curiosity early, we help develop lifelong habits that strengthen communities and industries alike.
Founded by Bethany Holroyd - a Chartered safety professional, children’s author and advocate for diversity in traditionally male-dominated industries - the Academy bridges education and industry through real-world insight and creative practice.

Our mission is to help children become confident safety champions in their everyday lives by building awareness of safety, health and wellbeing from an early age.
Through engaging education, creativity and meaningful industry connection, we aim to support long-term cultural change, strengthen future safety awareness, and encourage children to think critically and responsibly about risk.
We also aim to inspire curiosity around safety and STEM-related careers, helping contribute to safer communities, stronger industries and a more prepared future workforce.

We envision a future where children grow up with the confidence, awareness and communication skills to make safer choices, look after themselves and others, and contribute positively to the communities around them.
We believe safety, health and wellbeing should be embedded into everyday learning from the earliest years, helping create a generation that approaches the world with confidence, responsibility, empathy and curiosity.
Safety isn’t just a career - it's a vital part of life. By bringing The Safety Superhero Academy to schools and communities, we hope to spark curiosity and awareness in children, inspiring them to see how they too can be a Safety Superhero® in their own right.
