The Safety Superhero Academy Becomes a Certified Social Enterprise with Social Enterprise UK
The Safety Superhero Academy is proud to announce that it has officially become a Certified Social Enterprise with Social Enterprise UK (SEUK). This milestone recognises the Academy’s commitment to creating lasting social impact through safety education, STEM engagement, and literacy development for children and young people.
As the UK membership body for social enterprises, SEUK leads the world’s largest network of businesses with a social purpose, working together to create a fairer economy and a more sustainable future. Membership enables organisations to display the SEUK membership badge, gain visibility in the Social Enterprise Directory, access exclusive events and webinars, and connect with a vibrant community of like-minded businesses driving positive change.
The Safety Superhero Academy aligns closely with these principles. Its primary purpose is to:
Improve safety culture and awareness from the earliest stages of life through engaging workshops and activities.
Develop educational resources including lesson plans, CPD-accredited training, digital learning materials, and community initiatives.
Inspire interest in safety and STEM-related careers.
Promote literacy and communication skills through storytelling, reading activities, and creative learning experiences.
Creating lasting social value by promoting safety awareness, reducing workplace accidents in the future, and addressing the skills gap in safety and STEM-related professions.
Bethany Holroyd, Founder and Director of the Safety Superhero Academy, said:
"Becoming a certified social enterprise is an important milestone for us. This recognition helps cement the work we do to empower children with safety knowledge, inspire curiosity in STEM careers, and develop skills for life. It is a huge moment for our Academy and underscores the social impact we strive to create every day."
By joining SEUK, The Safety Superhero Academy strengthens its ability to reach more children, share best practices, and collaborate with other social enterprises to make a tangible difference across the UK.
