The Safety Superhero Academy Founder Shortlisted for Global IOSH Award
We're delighted to share that our Founder and Director, Bethany Holroyd CMIOSH, has been shortlisted for OSH Influencer of the Year at the IOSH Awards 2026.
Part of IOSH's global awards programme, the award celebrates individuals who are driving positive change across the occupational safety and health profession through education, thought leadership, public speaking, writing and innovation.
Throughout her career in occupational safety and health, Bethany has worked to challenge traditional perceptions of the profession by championing prevention, people-first cultures and the belief that positive attitudes towards safety, health and wellbeing should begin long before someone enters the workplace. Alongside founding The Safety Superhero Academy®, Bethany has continued to influence the profession through keynote speaking, writing, research, mentoring and collaboration with organisations across multiple sectors.
Commenting on the shortlist, Bethany said:
"I'm incredibly honoured to be shortlisted alongside so many inspiring professionals from around the world. Throughout my career, I've been passionate about making safety more human, more accessible and something that empowers rather than simply protects. To have that recognised by IOSH means a great deal. I hope this also helps shine a light on the importance of starting conversations about safety, health and wellbeing much earlier in life."
The winners will be announced at the IOSH Awards ceremony in London this September. We wish all of the finalists the very best of luck.
