The Safety Superhero Academy® Founder Shortlisted for Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year

We are incredibly proud to share that our Founder and Director, Bethany Holroyd, has been shortlisted for Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year at the Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Often referred to as "The Grammys of Entrepreneurship", the awards celebrate the achievements of entrepreneurs who are building impactful and innovative businesses across the UK.

When Bethany founded The Safety Superhero Academy® just eighteen months ago, she set out to challenge the idea that safety education should begin only when young people enter the workplace. Drawing on her professional experience and passion for prevention, she created our social enterprise dedicated to helping children build lifelong awareness through engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.

Since then, The Safety Superhero Academy® has worked with schools, businesses and partners across the UK, reaching more than 1,000 children through workshops, educational resources and storytelling-led learning.

While Bethany may be the one shortlisted, this achievement reflects the collective efforts of the schools, partners, educators, supporters and families who have embraced our mission and helped bring it to life.

Speaking about the shortlisting, Bethany said:

"I am so genuinely humbled to be shortlisted. I've always believed that if we want a safer future, we need to start with the next generation. Every child we reach is an opportunity to build confidence, encourage positive choices and help create habits that can last a lifetime. To see that mission recognised in this way is incredibly special."
