Location: Morley, Leeds
Hours: 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am–2:30pm)
Contract: 12-month fixed term, with potential for extension

We’re The Safety Superhero Academy – a passionate, purpose-led start-up on a mission to make safety education part of every child’s early learning. Through fun, engaging workshops delivered in schools, we introduce children to the basic concepts of health, safety, and STEM – and we do it all with a big smile and a superhero twist!

About the Role

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator who’s excited by the idea of working in a small but mighty start-up, supporting a major project funded for the next 12 months (with potential to extend) to help coordinate our schools programme and bring our vision to life.

You’ll be based at our new premises in Morley, Leeds (because working from the founder’s kitchen just isn’t cutting it anymore!). Your role will be vital in keeping things running smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in education or social value, who’s passionate about creating positive change for children.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with education and community partners

  • Managing and coordinating school workshop bookings

  • Coordinating diaries, session logistics, and materials for delivery

  • Overseeing timelines, providing general admin support, and planning for our funded project.

  • Assisting with basic financial admin, budget tracking and reporting.

  • Supporting event planning and marketing activities

  • Occasionally attending events or sessions across the UK

  • Being a safe pair of hands who can step in where needed as the project grows!

Who We’re Looking For

  • Someone with a background in education, community, or social value-focused work.

  • Ideally you’ll be enhanced DBS checked

  • Super organised and great with communication skills.

  • Confident using email, spreadsheets, and CRM Software.

  • Self-motivated and happy to roll up your sleeves (we are a start-up, after all, so it’s all hands on deck when needed!)

  • Passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.

The Details

  • 25 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:30pm (Includes a 30-minute lunch break)

  • Office-based in Morley, with potential UK travel to support events

  • Salary base from £15,873 (in line with the National Living Wage), and is tbc depending on experience

  • 28 days holiday pro-rata (this includes bank holidays).

  • Fixed-term contract for 12 months, with potential to extend depending on funding and business growth.
